Due to the size of this painting, it is shipped rolled up in a tube. It is then up to the customer to stretch the painting upon arrival. Most local framing companies can build stretcher bars, and stretch the painting for you. I'm more than happy to help locate a framing shop and answer any questions during this process. This piece was inspired by the colors and patterns found in nature when we take a closer look at the details around us. I didn't have a specific subject in mind when painting this piece, but when completed it reminded me of a fresh water salmon or trout- covered in beautiful colors and shine. This piece is part of a new body of work made up of acrylic abstract paintings. The inspiration for the work was the human connection to the natural world, and the emotions we experience from interacting with and honoring our home, the earth.
