While these plants often get overlooked in their natural habitat, this series aims to honor their exceptional uniqueness and beauty. Each piece starts with original photographs that I have captured on my travels and in my day to day life. The succulent photos are individually mounted .5-2 inches from the canvas, creating a varied and glowing composition. 
 
The mandala composition is something I find myself coming back to time and time again. There is something so mesmerizing about the symmetry of succulents themselves, as well as the circular repetitive pattern. The way that these patterns attract the human eye and attention is a reminder of the important relationship we have to the natural world.
