This painting is part of an experimental series. I typically like to have a plan for my work before beginning to paint, but for this collection, I created a free flowing practice. I approached the canvas without anything in mind, and let the paint inform the composition, colors, and line work in the moment. This series was a wonderful challenge to my perfectionism and attachment to planning. I am forever learning from making art!
